Dear visitors to the Westfield Ruhr Park,

To ensure that you always feel at home with us, it is necessary that a few things are regulated. That is why we have drawn up these house rules. The following points apply to the entire premises of Westfield Ruhr Park, in particular to the shopping street and the car parks.

1. The regulations and traffic signs applicable to public road traffic apply to traffic in the car park and must be observed, as must all other traffic regulations posted in the car park.

2. No visitor may obstruct, inconvenience or endanger other persons.

3. The customer must comply with all regulatory requirements. In particular, the following is prohibited

  • the use of fire

  • the storage of fuels and flammable objects

  • the unnecessary sounding of horns and the disturbance of third parties through exhaust fumes and noise

  • the unnecessary running of engines and

  • stopping vehicles that are leaking operating fluids (e.g. oil/petrol)

4. The customer must park his vehicle exclusively and precisely in the marked spaces, in such a way that unhindered entry and exit is possible at all times, even in neighbouring parking spaces.

5. If parking spaces are designated for special customer groups or vehicle types, these regulations must be observed:

a) Only vehicles whose ALL PASSENGERS are of the female sex may be parked in WOMEN'S PARKING SPACES. Children are excluded from this regulation.
b) Only vehicles in accordance with the provisions of the German Road Traffic Regulations may be parked in SWITCHED PARKING SPACES.
c) Only vehicles with a total height of less than the specified maximum height may be parked in parking spaces that are restricted for vehicles of particular maximum heights.

6. If the customer does not observe these regulations, the operator is authorised to have the incorrectly parked vehicle removed by suitable means at the customer's expense without further notice.

7. The parking spaces and their facilities must be used carefully and appropriately. Any damage will be repaired at the customer's expense.

8. Cleaning, repair and maintenance work on the vehicle is prohibited within the entire car park. The display of advertising material of any kind is prohibited.

9. The car park is cleaned by the operator; however, any soiling for which the customer is responsible must be removed immediately by the customer. Otherwise, the operator is entitled to have this soiling removed at the customer's expense.

10. Vehicles are parked at the customer's own risk. Only officially authorised vehicles may be parked. There is no security.

11. Music may only be played in the centre and in the car park with the written permission of the centre management.

12. Any sale of goods on the premises requires the written authorisation of the management.

13. The distribution of flyers, leaflets or similar is prohibited on the premises.

14. Bicycles and motorbikes may not be driven or pushed through the shopping street. Kickboards, roller skates, inline skates, skateboards, e-scooters, Segways and similar vehicles, whether motorised, electric or muscle-powered, are also not permitted for safety reasons. Mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walking frames and pushchairs are of course exempt from this ban.

15. Dogs must be kept on a lead. The owner must clean up any mess immediately.

16. The consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited outside the catering outlets.

17. The instructions of the centre management and security staff must be followed immediately. They have the right to expel persons from the shopping centre at any time.

18. Persons violating the house rules will be banned from the centre. If the legal requirements are met, a criminal complaint will also be filed for all possible offences.

19. Photography and the creation of video recordings are only permitted with the written consent of the centre management.

20. Camping and overnight stays in vehicles such as cars, lorries, camper vans etc. are prohibited on the entire site.

21. The unloading and disposal of waste not generated in Ruhr Park is prohibited. Offenders will be prosecuted and reported to the police.

22. Feeding birds in the centre is not permitted.

23. Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all indoor areas without exception.
